Firstly...huge thanks to Louise for making time for a debut ride with new member Laura. It is daunting for novices to join a club but so much easier when good people volunteer to help. We hope Laura will be joining T1/T1.5 soon. Stop press - Just had this from Laura: It was amazing!! Louise is an absolute legend! My legs are fine (let’s see in the morning though!) I was amazed when Louise said we had covered 15 miles, it certainly didn’t feel that way at all. My only hiccup was the slight incline by Morisson's at the end of the ride, not sure what happened but the bike just came to a stop 🤣🤦♀️ So had to hop off and walk a minute or two. Was totally epic though and can’t wait to do it again 100%. Shame there aren’t any other beginners to ride with but Louise (bless her) has faith it won’t take me long to pick up pace 🙂
Matt reported on today's T2: Seven of us for today's T2. Casey, Dale, Bren, Kim, Frances, Duncan/Tandemanda and myself for a circular route to Hadlow via Plaxtol. We got lucky with the weather and enjoyed a respectable 48 miles, and we found Duncan's very own village! Thanks to Kim for the coffee and being my back marker 👍
Pete Vines' T3 to The Daily Bread cafe in Rusthall was great fun. A bit lumpy and challenging at times. Joining us today was a new member, Jeremy Fauconnier, this was an easy ride for him! Around 50 miles at 15mph for most people, 60 for some and 1400m of climbing.
